Champaign

I spent last night in Champaign, IL and it was awesome. We went to go see my friend Cam’s band, So Long Forgotten, play at a venue called The Shed, which was exactly that. It was an old barn in the middle of nowhere amid corn fields.

After that we went to a bar in Champaign called The Blind Pig. They had $1 pints of PBR and $2 shots. If you live in Chicago then you’ll know that $1 beer is an anomoly that you will rarely encounter and needless to say we were all very excited about it.

After that we went to his bands house which is also in the middle of nowhere and which is called The Wolf. There we rode an awesome two person tricycle down the street, explored a haunted grain silo, saw two shooting stars and put Lil Wayne’s new album on the stereo much to the chagrin of everyone who lived there.

I’m already looking forward to the next trip to Champaign.
